The Finnish star of the Colorado Avalanche Mikko Rantanen rallied his team from a two-goal deficit to level against the Seattle Kraken in the teams’ fourth playoff meeting.
Seattle took a 2–0 lead in the first period. In the second period, Rantanen scored the tying goal at the end of the attack by Nathan MacKinnon input. Five minutes later, Rantanen equalized with an accurate wrist shot, as Colorado played for the upper hand.
However, Rantanen’s feats were not enough to win. After a scoreless third period, a solution was sought in overtime. The mantle of the solver was grabbed by Seattle Jordan Eberlewho scored a 3–2 winning goal after three minutes of overtime.
Seattle tied the series at 2–2. Four wins are required for the second round of the playoffs. Rantanen has scored five goals in the playoffs.
Toronto close to a surprise
Last season’s finalist Tampa Bay was leading Toronto 4–1 in their home hall when the third period approached the half. However, the Canadian team drew even when Austin Matthews hit twice and Morgan Rielly once.

New Jersey tied the series
Erik Haulan The New Jersey Devils evened the score at 2-2 after defeating the New York Rangers 3-1 at Madison Square Garden. Haula got an assist Ondrej Palatin to score a 3–1 goal.
Jack Hughes gave the Devils the lead in the first inning. After a scoreless second set Vincent Trocheck brought Rangers level. of New Jersey Jonas Siegenthaler scored the game-winning goal halfway through the set.
The Rangers won the first two meetings of the pair of matches, but the Devils have risen alongside.
– We have to be happy with how our game went today. The previous match was good for us. We played the same way today. We showed maturity when they leveled the match and got the crowd on their side. We stayed calm, we followed the game plan, Haula said (you switch to another service).
The Vegas Golden Knights took their third consecutive victory over Winnipeg with goals 4–2. of Winnipeg Pierre-Luc Dubois brought his team to within a score of 2-3 in the third period, but Vegas Brett Howden got to hit the final scores as Winnipeg went for the equalizer without a goaltender.
Vegas leads the series 3–1.
