The aftermath of the huge fight between Janne Andersson and Bojan Djordjic has become a lot about racism.

– I honestly believe so, admits Shaaban in SVT’s “Morgonstudion”.
Sweden had just defeated Azerbaijan 5-0 and taken the first victory in the European Championship qualifiers. Then everything broke loose and a historic television moment was created live at the Viaplay studio.

Shaaban’s words
Shaaban then says what everyone is really thinking, that everything is based on a big misunderstanding.
– I honestly believe that from Janne’s side it is nothing racist, then I understand that Bojan interprets it the way he does. So to me it’s just a big misunderstanding. I have met Bojan, I know what he is like and I know what Janne is like. So that for me is not a thing, there is no racism when it comes to Janne in that way. So that it was just a boring event, I would like to say, says the former goalkeeper in the TV show.
Also Emil Erikssonfrom the podcast “Snett nåt kåt”, was there as a guest and also gives his explanation.
– If Bojan is going to accuse Janne of being racist, let him do it fully, so to speak. Now he went out and said that Janne’s intentions don’t matter, but that he is still hurt. It might be a bit fuzzy and I think that is a bit unfair to Janne. In that case, Bojan has to back it up completely and say “then Janne is lying to me, it was his intention to question my Swedishness”. Now there will be some kind of middle ground which I think is unfortunate, says Eriksson in SVT.
