The Prime Minister was all one big smile when he got out of the car on the podium at the Red barn arena in Umeå after riding in Latvala’s classic.
Kristersson acted as a map reader in a van before the real competition in the Swedish Rally.
– It was a magical experience. It went fast and was incredibly exciting. You could see quite poorly, but I felt in very safe hands, says Kristersson to SVT Sport.
Latvala about the Prime Minister’s contribution
Jari-Matti Latvala thought that the Swedish Prime Minister behaved well.
– He was very calm, says Latvala, who is now team manager in Toyota’s WC team, and as a driver won the Swedish Rally four times when it was run in Värmland.
