Ralf Edström has a number of prizes in his prize cabinet.
One of them is the league gold with Monaco in the French league – which was celebrated in a very special way.
And there Edström also left the celebration with a slightly different gift.

With his two golden balls and with the volley goal against West Germany, among many other things, has Ralf Edstrom forever written into Swedish football history. Unexpected gift

The gold with Monaco was also special in other ways, which were not about the sporting aspect. The celebration took place at a restaurant, where both Prince Albert and Björn Borg was there to pay tribute to the French champions.

Ralf Edström also received a gift from the restaurant manager, in the form of a giant stuffed animal giraffe. The giraffe is still at home in Edström’s guest room today and has become popular with the grandchildren.
