Rainbow Six brings Battle Pass with 100 stages – players can complete it after 2 days without playing a match

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The new season “Solar Raid” started on Tuesday, December 6th, 2022 in Ubisoft’s tactical shooter Rainbow Six Siege. Also included is a Battle Pass that has 100 levels of cosmetic content and the includes new defender Solis. Playing through the pass actually requires many hours of play, but in the new season players are through after 2 days or a few minutes.

How is the Battle Pass actually leveled? In the Rainbow Six Siege Battle Pass, you typically level up by playing matches and completing challenges.

Depending on the mode and victory or defeat, you will receive a certain number of “Battle Pass Points” after each match played. Challenges like destroying gadgets, cameras or similar give extra points.

Why are players already done with the Battle Pass? Some players of the shooter benefited from two factors in Solar Raid that massively accelerated the leveling of the Battle Pass:

  • the cross-progression system
  • the esports packs
  • In the picture below you can see the progress of the Battle Pass of the current Rainbow Six Siege Season Solar Raid in the upper right corner:

What is cross progression? In Solar Raid, Ubisoft introduced the so-called cross-progression system for Rainbow Six Siege. With cross-progression you can link your accounts from different platforms.

For example, if you played on PS4 and switched to PC in the meantime, you can use your purchased skins, levels, and other progress on both platforms. This also applies to received “Esport Packs”.

What are esports packs? Esport Packs are loot packs that contain weapon camouflages, uniforms, and other cosmetic items based on the shooter’s esport.

Players could get Esports packages by watching official Esports matches on the Rainbow Six Siege Twitch channel. After a certain amount of time as a viewer, you received such a package as a Twitch drop.

Why do Esport Packs affect the Battle Pass? Ubisoft drew criticism from players for esports packages that could contain duplicates. With a bit of bad luck, you got a skin or something similar that you already owned. The watched time was then completely in vain, which is why Ubisoft removed the duplicates in the meantime.

Instead of the duplicates, players can now get the Battle Pass Points from the Esport Packs, which allow you to level up the pass. Also, cross-progression now comes into play:

If you collected Esports Packs in the past, you received them on all platforms linked to your Ubisoft account. A former PS4 player who now only actively gambles on the PC also has every package that he opened on the PC on his console that is no longer used.

By merging progression with cross-progression, all of these packs are now available and reopenable on any platform, and instead of duplicates, there are now 500-2000 Battle Pass Points per pack. Those who diligently watched Twitch were able to complete many levels or even end the Battle Pass.

MeinMMO author Dariusz Müller also benefited from the Esport Packs and needed almost half an hour to “play through” the pass. He owned 122 Esport Packs and was only missing 5 skins. As a result, there were 117 packs of Battle Pass points and the pass was complete after opening.

By the way, Dariusz Müller has not only collected many Esport packages in the tactical shooter from Ubisoft, but also a lot of playing time. Even in 2022 he thinks Rainbow Six Siege is one of the best shooters and still impresses with its unique way of playing.
