Borgafjäll will be forced to close the entire facility due to the mild weather.
– At first we only thought of closing part of it, but due to the weather we are unfortunately forced to close the entire facility for the weekend, says lift owner Magnus Nilsson.
He says that it is currently drizzling and that it looks like the mild weather will continue.
– I can’t say when we can open again, first we have to see how much damage the weather has caused.
Hemavan makes it through the weekend
In Hemavan it is also plus degrees. But according to Herman Fogelberg, who is responsible for guest service and security, the slopes have done well so far.
– Tomorrow it will still be plus degrees, but already on the night of Saturday it will be colder. So we will probably manage, he says.
The slopes in Hemavan are open as normal all week.

In Kittelfjäll it was colder this morning and according to CEO Jan Forsgren they will not have to close any lifts.
– There may be a little less off-piste, but it’s still freezing temperatures up in the mountains, he says.
