(Finance) – They were signed today the free loan contracts for ASL 1 Imperieseof the first floor of the railway station Taggiaand the former Eiffel locomotive depot a Ventimiglia, premises owned by RFI (Polo Infrastrutture FS). In these rooms they will be carried out two community houses which will represent a place where people can access and come into contact with the system health, socio-medical and social assistance. The agreement was signed by Mario Conio, Mayor of Taggia, Flavio Di Muro, Mayor of Ventimiglia, Luca Filippo Maria Stucchi, General Director of ASL 1 Imperiese and, representing Rete Ferroviaria Italiana, lead company of the Infrastructure Hub of the FS Group, Umberto Lebruto, CEO of FS Sistemi Urbani, leading company of the Urban Hub of the FS Group.
Present at the meeting, Edoardo Rixi, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Giovanni TotiPresident of the Liguria Region, Claudio ScajolaPresident of the Province of Imperia, Alessandro PianaVice President of the Liguria Region, Marco ScajolaCouncilor for Urban Planning, Construction and Maritime State Property of the Liguria Region and Angelo GratarolaCouncilor for Health of the Liguria Region. The two new socio-health structures will become part of the Regional Health Service, as envisaged by the PNRR of 2021 and described in Ministerial Decree 77 of 23 May 2022.
With a view to offering more and more services to cities and making the stations and railway areas, real hubs of the area, in Taggiathanks to PNRR funds, a space for social and healthcare activities with an internal surface area of approximately 1,600 square meters is renovated.
TO Ventimiglia the space to be allocated to socio-healthcare functions is the former “Eiffel” locomotive depot. The building, the subject of the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 13 January this year, presents itself as a typical industrial archeology building, with a perimeter structure in load-bearing masonry and a double-pitch roof supported by metal trusses and with an internal surface equal approximately 670 square meters.
Today the first piece of a project urban regeneration which affects a vast territory of the Municipality on the border with France, with strong potential for valorisation and development.
