The Portuguese commentator took over the broadcast • Radiosport’s Christian Olsson: “We had to give again”
There was a fight in the commentary booth when radio sport’s Christan Olsson and Johan Elmander ended up in the same room as a very fiery Portuguese commentator during the Europa League match. In the broadcast, the Swedish listeners sometimes heard the Portuguese commentator Carlos more than the Swedish commentators.
“GOOOOOOOOOOOOOL”, Carlos is heard shouting when the Portuguese club team scores a goal.
On Thursday, the Europa League match was played between Elfsborg and Braga from Portugal. When the away team scored a goal, the radio sports commentator Christian Olsson was completely run over by the Portuguese commentator Carlos.
“GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL”, the Portuguese is heard shouting in the radio sports broadcast, whereupon Christian Olsson and Johan Elmander fall silent in surprise.
– I have never been involved in this. But it added a little extra spice to the match, so we have him to thank for that, says Christian Olsson, radio sport’s commentator, in Nyhetsmorgon
“Had to give again”
Revenge is sweet, thought radiosport’s commentators when Elfsborg equalized to 1-1. Then Christian Olsson could give back to the Portuguese next to him.
– We were so small-minded that we had to do it. Thick, we felt. Elfsborg scored, and so did we – in the same way he did, says Christian Olsson.
In the clip above, you can hear how it sounded in Radiosport’s broadcast.
