Race for the World First-US guild Liquid leads, Europeans are only in third place and 4

The Americans lead in the race for the World First Kill by Gallywix, the current final boss in World of Warcraft.

In World of Warcraft, a “hot phase” has just been broken, because the “Race to World First” is running – the race about who can defeat the current final boss at the highest difficulty. This time is the Chromkönig Gallywix, the leader of the Goblins of Lorenhall, who is waiting in his great mech to be peeled out of the chrompanzer.

Liquid leads – but the lead is small

What is the current status? Currently (as of 09.03.2025, 12:00 p.m. via Raider.io) the race looks like this:

  • 1st place: Liquid (US) killed 3 out of 8 bosses and is currently working on Stix bunning scraps, which you have already brought to 11.62 % life points.
  • 2nd place: Instant Dollars (US) also killed 3 out of 8 bosses, but prefers to try the pinion rumbling curling floor at Boss and is 74.39 %.
  • 3rd place: Echo (EU) is also at 3 out of 8 bosses and fights against Schnitzelkrämer Lockenstock with 79.09%.
  • 4th place: Method (EU) is a bit chopped. They have only conquered 2 of 8 bosses and still fight against Rik Resonance, have 13.30 %.

    • A total of almost 20 guilds are up to date that they have conquered 2 out of 8 bosses.

    However, one should not speak of a “preliminary decision” here. Because as a rule, several guilds reach the final boss before a guild is able to actually conquer it. So it can be assumed that the professionals will spend a week or two with the raid and the penultimate boss (Mug’zee) and the last (Chromkönig Gallywix) will deal with the best guilds in the world for a while.

    Why is it going so slowly? The raid “Liberation of Lorenhall” is not only really difficult on “mythical”, but the heroic version of the raid has brought many guilds to its limits. It took several days for the heroic version of the Chromkönig Gallywix final boss to be conquered – something that otherwise often happens on the first day.

    Since the professional guilds need the prey from the heroic raid to prepare their characters in the best possible way, the first few days were very little to do with the race.

    For a short time it even looked like the race for the “World First Kill” was already over. Because a guild came out of nowhere and grabbed the victory and first place in the fame hall. However, these were fraudsters who used exploits and hacks to defeat Gallywix with very fresh characters.
