In Sweden, the government on Sunday July 2 condemned the burning of a Koran in front of a mosque. Stockholm described this act as “Islamophobic” while recalling that freedom of expression is protected by the Swedish Constitution. A position that comes shortly after a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
