Established in 1901, thehonor of Cavaliere del Lavoro it is awarded every year on the occasion of Republic Day to Italian entrepreneurs who have distinguished themselves in the five sectors of agriculture, industry, commerce, craftsmanship and credit and insurance activities.
THE requirements necessary to be awarded the honor are having operated in one’s sector continuously and for at least twenty years with independent responsibility, and having contributed significantly, through business development, to economic and social growth and innovation. Particular attention is paid to the values that are the basis of the honor: the mirrored moral and civil conduct, in compliance with ethical principles and social, environmental sustainability and good governance.
