This season, dark clouds were already gathering over Sportpark Dorrestein when it turned out that Quick had a deficit of several tens of thousands of euros. That debt was cleared with the help of the municipality of Amersfoort. In addition, a fundraising campaign among members and sympathizers recently raised 20,000 euros. Quick thought it was well on its way to securing a license for 2024, but an unexpected tightening of the quality requirements by the KNBSB throws a spanner in the works. According to these recent new requirements, clubs must have a buffer of approximately 50,000 euros in free reserve. A simple calculation shows that Quick no longer meets the conditions, but is 30,000 euros short.
