Quentin Tarantino explains the simple reason why there is so

Quentin Tarantino films are often extremely violent and gory. Sex and bare skin there is hardly any in the works of the cult director. The only exception is a sex scene in Jackie Brown between the characters of Robert De Niro and Bridget Fonda.

In a recent conversation during the tour to his current book Cinema Speculation * Tarantino talked about why sex is almost never seen in his works.

Tarantino doesn’t think sex scenes are necessary for his stories

As Variety reports, the director talked about the sex scenes while on his book tour in Spain hardly necessary for his stories so far were:

True, sex is not part of my vision of cinema. And the truth is that in real life it is tedious to shoot sex scenes, everyone is very tense. And if doing it was a bit of a problem before, it’s even more so now. If there was ever a sex scene that was essential to the story, I would have, but so far it hasn’t been necessary.

After nine films, Tarantino wants to move on to his upcoming work finally retire from the business as a director. His 10th film will be titled The Movie Critic. So far there is no information about the exact story or who is playing. Filming is scheduled to begin at the end of autumn this year. Maybe Tarantino’s final work as a director will be released in 2024, but it could also probably be 2025.
