PHOTO PRINCE LOUIS. Prince Louis, 4, was photographed on Thursday June 3, 2022 on the balcony of Buckingham, alongside Queen Elizabeth II. His restless childish reactions made headlines in several British newspapers.
The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee is a well-framed, highly organized event, but with young children, expect a bit of overflow. Thursday, June 2, during the presentation of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham palace, while the Queen greeted the troops of the parade, the young Louis was noticed by some amusing antics. The young boy, 4 years old, reacted like a child of his age in front of the spectacle offered by the army. The aerial ballet in particular made Louis react a lot, who was clearly impressed by the noise and covered his ears with gestures worthy of Charlie Chaplin. Some grimaces and gestures of annoyance were also photographed by journalists, allowing them to give this jubilee a lighter tone. The tabloid The Mirror even made its front page this Friday, June 3, like other press titles.
“Louis”, the third child of William and Kate
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have chosen to name their son “Louis of Cambridge”. He is officially called “His Royal Highness, Prince Louis of Cambridge”. His first name which was not chosen at random, as for all members of the royal family. We can indeed see a tribute to their grandfather who bears the same first name: Louis Mountbatten, maternal uncle of Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth II. He was admiral of the British fleet, last viceroy of British India, he was assassinated by the Provisional IRA in 1979, in the explosion of his ship, in Donegal Bay in Ireland. His father was also called Louis, Louis de Battengerg, who married the granddaughter of Queen Victoria. The young boy was presented to the world on April 27, 2018, a series of photographs was then released by the royal family.
Remember that Prince Louis has almost no chance of becoming King of England one day, because he is only 5th in the order of succession in the British monarchy. It would, however, be a great historical first: never has a Louis worn the Crown of Great Britain. Remember that Louis of Cambridge will not supplant his sister Charlotte in the order of succession.
