Making a statement about the date of QuakeCon 2022, Zenimax also shared some details about the content of this event.
QuakeCon 2022 was announced at the end of the date. The event, in which the company included many games and shared new information, started to be held digitally in recent years, including QuakeCon 2021, due to the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. Zenimaz confirmed in a statement that QuakeCon 2022 will also take place entirely digitally. The statement and details of the company, which stated that it could not predict the upcoming period in taking this decision, are as follows;
QuakeCon 2022 announced as August 18-20, 2022
“This year’s QuakeCon will again be a digital-only event and will take place August 18-20, 2022. We were disappointed that we weren’t able to return to Dallas this year. An event of this size needs to be planned months in advance, and in this case, the decision is made. There was too much uncertainty for us to make the decision to successfully hold a face-to-face QuakeCon when the time came for us to deliver.
The QuakeCon team is already working on building an exciting new streaming schedule, online meetups, sweepstakes, donation opportunities, virtual BYOC and more, and we’ll reveal more details in June.
