Medvedchuk, 67, is one of the richest people in Ukraine and is known for his close relationship with Putin. He says Putin is the godfather of his youngest daughter.

Meanwhile, Russia has released a video on a TV channel asking two British fighters imprisoned in Ukraine to be exchanged for Medvedchuk.
Russia did not specify exactly where the British fighters are.

Kremlin last week: Medvedchuk is not a Russian citizen
According to the news agency AFP, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyion has previously proposed to Medvedchuk to be exchanged for Ukrainian prisoners.
