The presidential election in Russia, which started on Friday, ends today. Shortly before the election, opposition leader Navalniy, who was seen as Putin’s biggest rival, died in prison. There was no serious rival for Putin, so he was just short of becoming the President of Russia for the 5th time with an easy victory. The Ukrainian army carried out an attack on the Russian city of Belgorod.
According to IHA; Russia’s Belgorod Region Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, in his statement on his Telegram account, stated that a man and a woman died and 3 people were injured in the attack.
Gladkov stated that 5 people were injured when a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) hit a vehicle in the village of Glotovo, approximately 2 kilometers from the border.
HE HIT OIL REFINERIES HOURS AGO
Russia’s Samara Regional Governor Dmitry Azarov announced that the Ukrainian army targeted the Syzran and Novokubyshev refineries of the state-owned oil and natural gas company Rosneft with UAVs. In the attack carried out in the morning hours, a fire broke out at the Syzran refinery in the Volga river region, while the attack on the Novokubyshev refinery was prevented.
