President Vladimir Putin allows Russia’s new hypersonic robot, with nuclear weapons capability, to be deployed in Belarus. The move came at a meeting on Friday in Belarus with the country’s leader Aleksandr Lukashenko. At the same time, the two signed a security pact in which Moscow guarantees support to Belarus.
The security guarantee includes Moscow’s new nuclear doctrine and the possibility of launching nuclear weapons from Belarusian territory.
Russia’s new hypersonic robot, which is estimated to have a speed ten times the speed of sound, has a range of 550 miles.
