Russian President Vladimir Putin has now made his first statement after the turbulent domestic crisis of the past day, to say the least.
In a recorded interview with state television Rossiya, Putin says, among other things, that he feels great confidence when it comes to being able to carry out all plans and tasks related to the war in Ukraine.
He also assured that Ukraine is his top priority.
The president was not asked any questions about Saturday’s Prigozhin coup – at least not in the part of the interview that was broadcast.
