A critical decision was made in Russia, which had a difficult time in the intensifying conflicts with Ukraine. While the age for conscription in the country was increased from 27 to 30, it was forbidden for these people to go abroad.
Russian President Vladimir Putin approved several decisions regarding the conscription process in his country and the Federal National Guard Service (Rosgvardia).
UPGRADED TO AGE 30
Accordingly, the conscription age has been increased from 27 to 30, while citizens aged between 18 and 30 can now be called up for military service in Russia. The decision will enter into force as of January 1, 2024.
EXPORTING ABROAD IS PROHIBITED
According to other resolutions approved by Putin, conscripts in Russia are prohibited from going abroad, while Rosgvardiya will now be able to procure and use heavy military equipment.
