Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decision to provide 5 million rubles in aid to the families of Russian soldiers who died in the war in Ukraine.

The decision signed by Putin, which includes additional social guarantees for Russian soldiers, security forces and their families, was published on the Russian State Law Information website. According to the decision, a one-time payment of 5 million rubles (about $71,500) will be paid to the families of soldiers, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Russian National Guard, who lost their lives during the “special military operation” in Ukraine.

In addition, 3 million rubles (approximately 42 thousand 900 dollars) will be paid to the people in question if they are injured, traumatized or shocked.

The decision, which came into force as of the date it was signed, will cover the families of the soldiers who lost their lives and those who were injured as of February 24, 2022. (AA)
