President of Russia Vladimir Putin declared his election victory in his victory speech the night before Monday after winning Russia’s show-stopping presidential election.
– I want to thank you and all the citizens of the country for your support and trust, Putin said at the press conference.
Putin flashed in his speech that the country is ready for a ceasefire from 26 July to 11 August. for the Paris Olympics to be held in Ukraine.
Earlier on Saturday, the French president Emmanuel Macron had said that Russia would be asked to observe a ceasefire during the Olympics.
In his speech, Putin said that the ceasefire agreement should, however, take into account Russia’s interests at the front. According to him, the country should also take into account who peace is being negotiated with.
