When you go on vacation, stagnant water in the toilet can become a breeding ground for bacteria and bad odors. By using baking soda, you can prevent these problems naturally and effectively.
Applying this trick is very simple. Before you leave, make sure your toilet is clean. A quick clean with your usual product will give you a healthy start. Pour about half a cup (100 grams) of baking soda directly into the toilet bowl (on the bottom, and on the sides).
Leave the baking soda on for the duration of your absence. It will continue to work by neutralizing odors and limiting the growth of bacteria. When you return, flush the toilet to remove the baking soda. Your toilet will be clean, odor-free and ready to use.
