The incident took place on July 3. Just as a train was entering the station, the woman pushed the man down onto the track. People who were at the scene managed to get the train to brake in time and prevent the man from being hit.
The woman has denied that she was there at all, but according to the district court there is no doubt that it was she who pushed the man. The woman has undergone a forensic psychiatric examination which shows that she was affected by a serious mental disorder at the time of the act, and she still suffers from such a disorder.
The woman must also pay damages to the man of just over SEK 200,000.
