Purchase protection
Many municipalities have recently introduced purchase protection to help residents who want to buy a house. The housing stock is scarce and private investors can often offer more money. As a result, starters and people with a middle income in particular have difficulty in obtaining a home for sale.
Purchase protection must do something about this: the law makes it possible to oblige buyers to occupy the home themselves. After purchase, the house may not be rented out for four years, with the exception of rental to parents or children, rental of company houses and replacement residence in the event of absence for a maximum of one year.
