At the Töölö football stadium, Pikkuhuusjat took a very important victory from Azerbaijan, reading 3–0. As a result, the Finnish national football team under the age of 21 will continue to play in the European Championships. The Games will be played in Romania and Georgia in the summer of 2023.
In the past, the trick has only been successful Markku Kanervan played under Tim Sparvin skippered by little pimps in 2009.
Finland will meet Norway on Friday night at 6 pm in Turku. Finland is now second in the block, ie in the place of further qualifiers. Finland leads Norway by one point. The Norwegian match is Finland’s last qualifying round, but Norway is still playing against Azerbaijan. Finland must therefore defeat Norway to secure second place.
In Tuesday afternoon’s match, Azerbaijan Finland dominated the game events, but the first half was still undefeated.
The second half started dramatically when Azerbaijan attacked and the ball bounced the top of Finland Ville Kosken hand in front of the paint. Captain of Finland, goalkeeper in the organization of Aston Villa in England Viljami Sinisalo however, fought wonderfully Musa Qurbanlyn penalty shot.
See the fight that led to the rankings and the fight against Sinisalo below.
Shortly after the Sinisalo crackdown, the French club moved from Ilves to Toulouse in early 2021. Naatan Skytta got into the box at the end of a good construction and fired with his left foot hard, along the ground into the back corner. 1–0 for Finland. For Skyt, the goal was already sixth in these qualifiers.
Five minutes after this, Finland struck 2-0 at the counterattack. Oliver Antman shot the ball along the ground to the back corner from about 18 meters. For Antman, who plays in Nordsjaelland, Denmark, the second qualifier hit.
See Finland’s 1–0 and 2–0 hits in the main picture of the story.
In the 80th minute of the game, Finland hit the third hit. Honga had to make a substitution after 80 minutes Agon Sadiku.
The crucial Norwegian match for the European Championship qualifiers will be broadcast live on Friday at 5.50 pm at Areena.
