Pieterse took off on the muddy course in the first lap. The Amersfoort native then managed to further expand the lead per lap. Ultimately, Pieterse came in with a lead of 1 minute and 11 seconds ahead of number two Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado. Third place went to Denise Betsema.
