Chatham-Kent’s public utilities commission will consider new water and wastewater rates in the new year.
Before passing the bylaw, the commission is required to hold at least one public meeting with respect to the matter.
Administration will be submitting a revision to the water and wastewater rates bylaw to amend certain fees at the next regular public meeting on Jan. 19.
This past January, the commission approved an increase that resulted in a nearly $2 bump on the monthly bill for the average residential customer.
