Public utility Skebo in Skellefteå wants to raise the rent to a record by nearly 8 percent

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

The sharp rent increase is justified by increased costs for the public housing company.

– Costs for maintenance, management, rate-related costs, interest, yes most of them have actually risen this year, says customer and marketing manager Anna Ersson at Skebo.

Skebo is clearly higher in its requirements than public utilities in Västerbotten County, where the lease negotiations have already been completed previously.

In Bjurholm, Malå and Umeå the rent will increase by a couple of percent.

– But we are actually exactly at the average of Sweden’s public utilities, and below many private landlords, says Anna Ersson.
