Ridouan Taghi, main suspect in the Marengo liquidation trial, is not a suspect in this case. It is generally assumed that the murder order for Wiersum came from him. Wiersum was a lawyer for Nabil B. from Utrecht, who is a key witness in the Marengo trial. Nabil B.’s brother was also murdered earlier. Crime reporter Peter R. de Vries, who was B.’s confidante, was also killed.
