Last November, a 64-year-old bus driver from Hilversum died after an assault on Stationsplein in Amersfoort. Two boys rode together on a bicycle along the sidewalk past the victim. When he said something about this, a conflict arose between the bus driver and one of the two boys. The man was pushed and his head hit the pavement. Bystanders took care of the victim and the two boys ran off. The bus driver later died from his injuries.
