Public invited to Welcome Back to Otterville studio tour

The historic village of Otterville will be a busy place during the annual Welcome Back to Otterville Studio Tour, Nov. 18-19.

Local shops will be open with unique products and artists’ studios will showcase original art and mixed media pieces. Treat yourself to a quiet day in the countryside while you experience a world of creativity.

New on the tour this year are Sharon and Beverly Garner with Pieces IV Places, bringing ‘new life to unique pieces of furniture with fun, fanciful, fabric, colors and papers.’ Discover a mixture of treasures to compliment your home.

Rooted in Floral, a shop in Otterville owned by Annette Lilley, creates original floral designs inspired by nature using dried and artificial products. It features soaps by Jaydancin, vintage collectables, jewelry and Christmas decor. Rooted in Floral will be open for the tour on Saturday only.

Ralph Moore & Sons have been a staple in the community since 1916, growing and producing bird seed and seed mixtures. They sell a large assortment of bird feeders, wild bird mixtures, suet, whole grains, cage bird accessories and mixtures, pigeon accessories, and mixtures and spray millet that is grown on their local farms. Only open Saturday.

Plaid Shirt Farms creates delicious products made from the produce grown on their farm just east of Otterville. Specializing in haskap berries and black currants, they have developed some unique jams, juices and drinks. Be sure to stop by and pick up your special condiments, frozen haskap berries or honey for the holiday season.

Sue Goossens, Lianne Todd, Marlene Long, Linda DeJonghe, Mae Leonard and Shirley Hokke are professional artists who welcome you into their home studios to share their passion. Each artist has a unique style and they work in different mediums. They are passionate about their art and are quite willing to discuss their process and inspiration. Perhaps you will find a special piece to take home.
