Grand Culture, a grassroots organization aimed at developing and celebrating the area’s cultural experiences with artists, organizations, and the public, invites people to take part regardless of their level of engagement.

“We’re excited to launch this survey as we continue to build a vibrant, responsive cultural landscape in Brant Region,” said Dr. Wiktor Kulinski, principal investigator of the Culture Basic Survey and chair of Grand Culture. “With input from residents, we can ensure that arts, culture, and heritage offerings reflect the diversity and interests of our community.”

Open to Brantford-Brant residents 18 years of age and older, the survey invites participants to share ideas, preferences, and experiences in cultural programming, ranging from favorite types of events to accessibility barriers. Data compiled from the survey will guide Grand Culture and its partners in creating more inclusive, engaging, and accessible cultural experiences based on the wants and needs of the community.

“Through advocacy, collaboration, and strategic initiatives, we aim to make Brant Region’s rich cultural heritage and create talent more visible, accessible, and celebrated,” Kulinski explained. “By investing in culture, Grand Culture strengthens the social and economic fabric of the community, enriching lives and honoring the unique heritage of our diverse region.”

The survey is available until December 15, takes five to ten minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous.
