This reimbursement will be made as part of a package of consultations on medical prescription.
To be reimbursed, the psychologist session must be prescribed by a doctor. Concretely, this package must be “address by medical prescription to psychologists“, and could be renewable, detailed Emmanuel Macron. Not all psychologists will offer reimbursed consultations. “There are a lot of psychologists who make a very good living from their profession (…) and which charge for consultations much higher, in terms of prices, than those I have just mentioned […] They will be able to continue to practice their profession in the same way. ” This consultation package is more intended to psychologists “who cannot make a living from their profession” and users “who cannot access consultations with psychologists if the prices are not regulated”. The list of psychologists will be communicated later. In parallel, 800 jobs will thus be created, from 2022, in medico-psychological centers (CMP) in order to minimize waiting times, which are currently “over 18 months in the areas most in tension“, he specified. About twenty mobile teams will be deployed in nursing homes and in medico-social structures. A teenage house will also be implemented in each French department. Furthermore, an envelope of 80 million euros will be dedicated to mental health, as part of the fourth future investment program (PIA4).
