PlayStation Portalhas received an update that will attract the attention of gamers with cloud streaming support. This feature, which is in beta phase, offers access to more than 120 PS5 games and promises a new gaming experience for PS Plus Premium subscribers.
PlayStation Portal and Cloud Streaming
Developed by Sony for the PlayStation ecosystem PlayStation Portalnow offers performance at 1080p resolution and up to 60 FPS with cloud streaming support. This innovation provides a great advantage especially for PS Plus Premium subscribers. With the update, more than 120 PS5 games became playable over the cloud, including popular games such as Ghost of Tsushima, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Monster Hunter Rise.
The update allows players to save and sync up to 100 GB with PlayStation Plus Cloud storage support. Thus, the same game progress can be easily used on different devices. DualSense’s features such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers have also been integrated into the PlayStation Portal’s touch screen. This aims to deliver an authentic PS5 experience even on the portable device.
PlayStation Portal cloud streaming is currently available in beta in over 30 countries. These countries include major markets such as the USA, the UK, Germany, Japan and Canada. Although it is in beta, this feature brings players one step closer to the future of cloud-based gaming.
With this move, Sony has the potential to turn PlayStation Portal from just an accessory into an important gaming device for PS Plus Premium members.
