“Prysmian has strengthened its leading role in the development of interconnections with the second project in the Balearic Peninsula, as we continue to build increasingly efficient and sustainable power transmission networks in the Mediterranean area,” commented Hakan Ozmen, EVP Transmission at Prysmian – We will implement this project using the same consolidated MI cable technology that was previously implemented in the installation of the Peninsula – Baleares 1 project. The Letter of award also reflects the long-standing relationship with Red Eléctrica, as Prysmian has already been awarded several interconnection projects in recent years such as Ibiza-Formentera, Lanzarote-Fuerteventura, Tenerife – La Gomera and Ceuta-Peninsula”.
