There is a gap in the legislation. “Suppose a wolf attacks a person, then the mayor is allowed to have the person shot, but only after consulting a wolf expert. But if that wolf runs into the forest, we as a province should actually take action, but we can’t do anything.” This is because the province must first determine which wolf it was and apply for a permit.
