On February 16 of this year, the court ruled in the case brought against the province by animal rights organizations Animal Rights and Fauna4Life. He had issued an exemption so that foxes could be shot at night in meadow bird areas and at agricultural companies that keep free-range chickens, so-called ‘Freilandbedrijven’.
