Just outside the province, near Culemborg, there is a field full of fiber hemp. Not the kind that broadens the mind, you can build houses with these plants. “Ultimately, a hemp plant grows to about three meters in height within a hundred days. They then become sturdy stems, the fibers of which we can use for insulation material and we can make sheet material from the woody parts,” says Luc de Wit.
