Signs, t-shirts and a member that was thrown out.

Donald Trump’s political opponents protested during the president’s speech before the congress.

It started already at the beginning of Donald Trump’s speech. The Congress Speaker, Republican Mike Johnson, was repeatedly told democratic members who were buzzing and screaming inside the Chamber.

Finally, Al Green, Democratic Congress Member from Texas, became ejected from the Chamber after he screamed that Trump has no mandate to cut down on state health insurance Medicaid.

– It was worth it to let people know that there are some who will stand up to the president, says Al Green afterwards according to the BBC.

During the course of the speech, many Democrats held up signs that on one side were printed with different messages – including “Musk steal” and “Save Medicaid” – and on the other side the word “false”.

Each time Donald Trump boasted his performance, they held up the signs.

“Lie after lies, a person shouted from the Democrats’ side of the Chamber.

Trump himself devoted part of the speech to his political opponents:

– The people who sit here do not want to applaud, do not want to stand up and cheer for these astronomical performance. It is very sad and should not be like this, he says.

Later, several democratic congress members undressed their jackets, during which they carried the t-shirts with the words “resist”. Then they left the chamber.
