According to the news in the NEWS.am news agency in Armenia, the relatives of those who lost their lives in the Second Karabakh War, which lasted for 44 days, gathered in front of the parliament during the daytime and reacted to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
Protesters demanded that Pashinyan not be given a vote of confidence and demanded the government’s resignation. The Armenian police blocked the street at the entrance of the parliament to prevent the protesters. After the tension during the day, the number of demonstrators in front of the parliament increased from the evening hours.
THEY TRIED TO BREAK THE DOORS
In the images on social media, it was seen that the protesters tried to break the doors of the parliament building where they were gathered.
The footage shows the protesters calling for the resignation by shouting slogans at Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, trying to break through the police barrier.
In the shares, it is stated that the demonstrators reacted to the statements in Pashinyan’s speech in the parliament yesterday that he wanted to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan.
Demonstrators had also protested outside the Parliament building on Tuesday.
‘105 ARMENIAN MILITARY DIE’
Speaking at the Armenian Parliament today, Pashinyan stated that they wanted military assistance from Russia regarding the conflicts on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
Pashinyan stated that they applied to other partners to discuss the conflicts with Azerbaijan at the United Nations Security Council.
Pashinyan also shared information about the losses in the Armenian army and said, “According to current data, 105 soldiers have died so far.” had used the phrase.
Azerbaijan had announced that it was ready to hand over the bodies of about 100 Armenian soldiers who died in the conflict that started with the provocations of Armenia.
CONFLICT ON THE AZERBAIJAN-ARMENIA BORDER
Intense clashes broke out between the military units of the two countries on the Azerbaijan-Armenia border.
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan announced that on the night of 12 September and on the morning of 13 September, the Armenian army carried out large-scale provocations in the Dashkesen, Kelbajar, Lachin and Zangilan directions of the border with Azerbaijan.
Some positions and shelters of the Azerbaijani army on the border were under constant fire with different caliber weapons, including mortar shells, and the Azerbaijani army lost 50 martyrs in the attacks.
The Azerbaijani army retaliated to silence the firing points of the Armenian Armed Forces and to prevent the expansion of the conflict, and heavy losses were inflicted on the Armenian troops. (AA)
