“I don’t want to look back later and be disappointed that I didn’t speak out now,” says initiator Yoran van Aken. He could hardly believe it: 74 percent of residents voted against the plans in the referendum, but the city council is going ahead with the parking plans anyway. “I think it’s bad that you just ignore that,” says Van Aken. That’s why he decided to organize a demonstration.
