Protective hunting of wolves in the territory of Söderåsen is cancelled, reports Helsingborgs Dagblad.

The decision on protective hunting was taken by the county administration in Skåne after a sheep was killed last Saturday. Two more attacks occurred this summer. The County Administrative Board believes that protective hunting is justified according to the Environmental Protection Agency’s new guidelines.

But the administrative court in Luleå states that “guidelines from authorities are not mandatory law” and refers to case law where four attacks are required.
