“Domestic Enrolment Has Been Something that has grown consistly for us, and it’s as we do grown events like this open house,” Said enrolment Advisor and Open House Organizer Brady Chambers.
BETWEEN 500 to 600 Prospective Students Were Expedted to Visit Saturday to Hear About Programs and Take Part in Demonstrations to Help Inform Their Post-Secondary Selections, He Said.
“It’s your best day to figure out what you want to do with the rest of your life,” Said Chambers.
Enrolment at the Sarnia School Last Fall was about 4.500, with a near even split been domestic and international enrolled, College Officials Said.
Domestic Enrolment was up 10 per cent, and international down 12 per cent, compared to 2023.

College President Rob Kardas Said International Enrolment is Expected to Fall Further Still Under Federal Rules introduced last year that cut international Student permit and changed Foreign Student Eligibility for post-graduate permits.
Open Houses, Held at Lambton College for Decades, Are Always “Paramount” for recruitment, Chambers Said, Noting There’s Still Lots of Time for People to Apply for the Fall.
“Our Faculty has done a really good job at putting the focus on experience at these types of events,” he Said.
OPEN HOUSES Are Typically HELD in the Spring and FALL AT LAMBTON Annually, and used to just involve Coordinators Talking About Their Programs, Chambers Said.
“Now they are really Involving Students through Tools and Example and Demos.”
