ProSieben is a must for horror fans tonight

Nightmarish images, a dark atmosphere and disturbing shocks are on the program today on ProSieben. Wait there straight away two horror free TV premieres on you, running right after one another. First, the giallo homage Malignant spreads fear and terror, followed by the scary film sequel Conjuring 3: Under the Spell of the Devil.

Finally on free TV: The twist in Malignant is guaranteed to leave you speechless

In Malignant, horror professional James Wan (Saw, Insidious) puts the deeply traumatized Madison (Annabelle Wallis) at the center of his film. After three miscarriages, the nurse is plagued by disturbing nightmares in which she witnesses gruesome murders. To her horror, these turn out to be Visions of real deeds of a mysterious serial killer.

When Madison wants to find out the reason for her ominous connection to the perpetrator, she opens the door to her own repressed past – and sets it on fire bloody infernowhich defies all imagination.

It’s not without reason that Malignant was considered the biggest horror surprise of 2021. The shocker is an uninhibitedly excessive love letter to the giallo genre and 80s slasher films. James Wan celebrates this adoration without compromise and tops the whole thing off with a twist at the end somewhere between bad trash and crazy stroke of genius is to be classified. This definitely has to be seen to be believed!

Conjuring 3 as a free TV premiere: A new case for the Warrens

Things are also pretty scary in The Conjuring 3, even if the horror here takes on a more down-to-earth feel. The third part of the Conjuring series shows the demonologist couple Lorraine (Vera Farmiga) and Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) once again investigating a paranormal case.

This time the ghost hunters apparently get it possessed by a demon David (Julian Hilliard) to do. However, when the exorcism of the eight-year-old boy does not go according to plan, events spiral out of control and the Warrens reach the limits of their abilities.

Although James Wan handed over the direction of Part 3 to Michael Chaves (Llorona’s Curse) after Conjuring and Conjuring 2, the film retains the direction for the franchise typical mix of old-fashioned horror and well-dosed moments of shock at. Thanks to the original visual ideas and convincing acting of the cast, this still works surprisingly well in The Conjuring 3.

Although the horror sequel wasn’t necessarily able to build on the financial success of its predecessors, the fourth part of the series is already in the starting blocks.
