A prosecutor in Western Sweden has been reassigned since he had unwanted contacts with and behaved inappropriately towards several of his female colleagues, reports Göteborgs-Posten.

The women describe the contacts as unjustified from a business perspective and say that some of them have continued even though the women have tried to stop them, according to the newspaper.

When the employer, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, became aware of the events, an external investigation was launched into the man’s actions.

The investigator concluded that the conduct under the Discrimination Act did not rise to the level of “sexual harassment”, but still advised the Public Prosecutor’s Office to consider taking action.

– It resulted in an agreement between us and this person regarding a relocation and new duties, says Katarina Johansson Welin, Acting Attorney General, to GP.
