ProRail is preparing for more freight traffic: ‘We must allocate capacity as well as possible’

“It is getting busier on the railways,” says a spokesperson for ProRail. “As a rail manager, we try to distribute the capacity on the track as well as possible.” It is up to ProRail to find a balance with work on the track, the normal passenger flow and trains that partly have to take over the work of inland vessels.
