The IO has cut off with the International Boxing Association IBA, which has been running an amateur boxing for a long time.
On Wednesday, the International Olympic Committee provided a supporting boxing for a recent World Boxing. The IOC announced that it had given a “preliminary approval” to the World Boxing, founded in 2023, thus opening the door to the future of Olympic boxes.
“The union has shown a strong desire and company to strengthen good governance, following demands,” KOK said of World Boxing.
The IO has cut off the international boxing association IBA, which has been running an amateur boxing for a long time due to, among other things, IBA corruption scandals. IBA’s chairman is Russian Umar Kremlev.
So far, 78 national unions have been joined by World Boxing, including Finland. For the future of boxing, the Olympic species has been folded out with IBA’s messes, and World Boxing described the chef’s recent decision as a “important milestone”.
