Professions the proposals of the Young Accountants Union

(Finance) – Simplify and optimize procedures judicial liquidation and adjust the compensation of liquidators, commissioners and liquidators, taking into account inflation and the growing complexity of cases; introduce a tax credit for SMEs that use qualified accountants such as Temporary Managerin order to promote corporate recovery and growth, especially for family businesses; extend a preferential tax regime with flat tax for professionals who participate in small associations, to encourage collaboration and professional aggregation, improving competitiveness and growth. These are the three proposals presented to politics byNational Union of Young Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts (UNGDCEC) during the 2024 national conference which was held in Piacenza.

“These are proposals that aim to improve the economic and professional context of the country, on which the Council and the Commissions of the Union have worked with commitment and enthusiasm”, highlights Francesco CataldiUNGDCEC president, who illustrated the proposals on the stage of the Municipal Theater together with councilors Roberto Bonomo, Serena Giannuzzi and Federico Giotti. “Our desire is to sit at institutional tables with proposals that are simple and quick to implement, to be proactive and not just critical. The willingness of the parliamentarians who attended the conference to follow the path that young accountants start is, for us, a great stimulus”.

The Honorable Martha Grossmember of the Public and Private Work commission of the Chamber of Deputies, underlined: “These are virtuous proposals, the path traced by young people is the correct one. We are in particular in favor of aggregations between professionals, but the flat tax also remains a ‘mission’ that we would like to carry forward. Regarding Temporary Managers, I would propose to set up an interdisciplinary working group to construct the proposal in the best possible way”.

For the senator Anthony Misianivice-president of the Budget Commission of the Senate of the Republic, “the theme of the added value generated by common work is crucial. It is striking that only one accountant in five is associated with colleagues or other professionals. Now we need concrete responses from us to the issues highlighted by the Union, also in terms of fair compensation for judicial liquidation”.

The Honorable Alberto Luigi Gusmerolipresident of the Productive Activities commission of the Chamber of Deputies, remarked: “The proposals are interesting and, in some cases, also easily implementable. Standardizing the flat tax for associated firms and aggregations of people is already a reality, there are just a few steps left to achieve it. And there are many other ideas on the table.”

According to the honourable Emiliano Fenumember of the Finance Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, “implementing the flat-rate regime for aggregations between professionals would make more sense than the same increase in the ceiling for individuals. It is clear that the system needs to be changed and in this sense all the proposals of the Young Accountants Union are of great interest, for the growth of the country system and the protection of professionals”.

Elbano de Nucciopresident of the CNDCEC, emphasized the “work of the National Council to bring out the profile of the accountant within the scope of the country’s economic-financial competences”. “In a scenario of profound transformation, reflecting on the strategic role of our profession for companies is fundamental to becoming the point of connection with the world of finance. It is therefore necessary to think about new professional horizons and greater specializations”, finally declared Stefano Distilli, president of the Cassa Doctori Accountisti.
