(Finance) – “Three intense, profitable and constructive days, in which a group of young Italian accountants had the opportunity to get to know another European reality and exchange ideas with colleagues who operate in Spain. A meeting that highlighted differences in approach and approach in the exercise of the profession, but also similar expectations of progress, which lie above all in intensifying development processes in the field of sustainability, aggregation between professionals, specializations; in addition to the desire to work jointly in international tables to contribute to the development of our professions”. She said it Erika Cresti, president International Union of Young Accountants (IUYA), tracing a balance sheet of the second mission organized by IUYA, National Union of Young Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts And UNGDCEC Study Center Foundation, which took place in Barcelona, ​​Spain, from 13 to 16 September.

“The contributions offered by Spanish institutions and professionals, involved in the three days of work, allowed colleagues to learn how to do business in Spain – he explains Matteo De Lise, president of Ungdcec –. The Iberian country is a country which, also thanks to the relationships and partnership agreements with local economists and IUYA, can represent a concrete vector for Italian colleagues and companies to approach broader markets, through favorable commercial agreements”.

“The Mission in Barcelona, ​​which follows that of Singapore, represents an important step forward in the primary objective of intensifying relationships and collaborations with foreign colleagues, to understand our potential beyond national borders and to network, to open new consultancy opportunities also for the benefit of our clients”, he highlights Francesco Puccio, president of the UNGDCEC Study Center Foundation.

There first day of the mission, Wednesday 13 September, was dedicated to the interventions of local authorities and professionals. Present were, among others, Alexander Salvador, president of GAJ Barcelona (Grup de l’Advocacia jove); Eva Sagrista, national representative for Spain of AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers); Carolina Mateo, member of the Cómision de Jóvenes Economistas of the Consejo General de Economistas de España. In the afternoon, round table on the future of professions; a dialogue between associations that shared the objective of contributing to the development of the profession at an international level. The importance of using new technologies to serve the consultancy activities carried out emerged, highlighting the impossibility for the latter to completely replace the activity carried out by professionals.

Thursday were presented legal and fiscal aspects of the Spanish system, as well as identifying best practices relating to commercial relationships. In the afternoon the IUYA delegation participated in a meeting at the Spanish Bar Association of Barcelona, ​​initiated by Alexander Salvador, president of the young lawyers’ group.

Friday, finally, they were presented successful business cases from Italian companies who addressed the internationalization process in the Spanish market, as well as a case of collaboration between Italian and Spanish colleagues for the closing of an acquisition operation in Iberian soil. A window was also opened on two interesting countries in the LATAM area, Mexico and Colombia, thanks to the presence of Gabriel Arriga, lawyer specialized in Mexican tax policies, and Pascual Martinez, director of the Spanish office of Procolombia.
